Sealants (Preventive composite)

Sealants protect the grooved and pitted surfaces of the teeth, especially the chewing surfaces of back teeth where most cavities in children occur. Even if your child brushes and flosses carefully, it is sometimes difficult to keep the grooves and pits clean. Food and bacterial build up in these crevices increase the risk of tooth decay. Sealants “seal out” food and plaque, thus reducing the risk of decay.

Mouth Guards

Mouth guards are custom made to each child and are often used to protect your child’s dentition from teeth grinding and sports related injury. They are different from the over the counter mouth guards with regard to their precise fit, compliance, and comfort level.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Modern tooth-colored fillings can be bonded to your child’s teeth for a strong and natural looking result. They are much more aesthetically pleasing than silver-mercury fillings .Under many circumstances these fillings can be placed without local injection. These state of the art materials offer optimal biocompatibility, minimal risk of allergic reaction, and the preservation of more natural tooth structures.
