Dental Implants
Dental implants provide both restorative and cosmetic benefits. Dental implants replace one or more missing teeth. They look and function just like a natural healthy tooth. Replacing your missing teeth with dental implants preserves bone mass and strength while restoring the appearance of your teeth. Dental implants enhance your smile by preventing a sunken facial appearance that can be associated with missing teeth.
Dental implants are natural-looking replacements for teeth that have been lost due to decay, gum disease, root canal failure, trauma, or for teeth that never developed properly. They offer an alternative to conventional bridges and dentures by providing retentive features that will allow you to feel secure about your smile.
The amount of bone available determines the position and viability of your dental implant. If you do not have adequate bone support, bone grafting procedures may be considered.

Technique for Dental Implants
Using the most modern techniques, Dr. Chahine will assess your bone for appropriate implant placement as necessary.
Once the implant is placed, it is left undisturbed for three to six months to ensure proper Osseo integration. A bio-compatible titanium post is then placed and covered by a dental crown, bridge or a denture.
If the dental implant is in a visible area your mouth, a temporary prosthesis will be worn during the healing period.
